Event - Year 4 visit Tudor World

19 October 2012

Year 4, that is 4D with Mr Durnall and 4P with Mrs Pennell, have been studying The Tudors during this term and had already learned lots about Henry VIII and his many wives as well as about life in Tudor times in general.

We also studied The Tempest by Shakespeare. So our visit to Tudor World on Friday 19th October 2012 was both exciting and interesting for the children.

They toured the museum there and loved the drama activities, especially being put into the stocks and being beheaded!

After lunch we visited Shakespeare's birthplace, his old home and school and finally went to see where he was buried in Holy Trinity.

The children behaved impeccably and were thrilled with all the experiences - it really did bring history to life for them.

Having fun being beheaded.

We all experienced time in the stocks.
