Event - Year 1 Learn About the Planets

In the spring term during our space topic we had a visit from a man called Peter Jones who came to speak to us about the planets and light and dark.

Mr Jones showed us telescopes, sources of light and pictures of the planets.

We learnt many facts such as the sun is a star, the moon is not a source of light but a reflector, and that Venus is actually the hottest planet.
