Event - Year 4 Trip To Hartlebury Museum

For their topic on World War 2 Year 4 visited Hartlebury Museum to learn about life in a World War 2 classroom.

Everyone dressed in the type of clothes worn in the 1940's and carried a box for a gas mask.

We found that the British flag is made up of three separate flags and only has one correct way to be flown.

We found out what an evacuee would have taken with them in one tiny suitcase.

The chidlren dressed up, tried out the old fashioned tools and practised work that needed to be done in the 1940’s kitchen.

Everyone in Year 4 agreed it was an excellent way to experience life as a child during the war years.
